MEN: Let's Talk Prostate Health.

Did you know that 50% of all men between the ages 51-60 years old have enlarged prostate glands and up to 90% of men above age 80 have enlarged prostate glands.
Did you also know that good health hinges on proper nutrition, with that being said let's dive into it.
The Prostate Gland is walnut-sized organ in the male reproductive system whose main function is to secrete prostate fluid, a component of semen. It is located between the bladder and the penis.
The prostate gland has an essential role to play during sexual intercourse. During ejaculation, sperms move to the prostate area to get mixed with the fluid which the prostate gland secretes. The prostate gland then contracts, closing the opening between the urethra and the bladder (it is the reason why men can't urinate while ejaculating) and release the fluid into the urethra, pushing the semen through.
Enlarged Prostate Gland medically known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common condition affecting men. And while the etiology of BPH remains a mystery, experts around the world suggest hormonal changes that comes along with aging may have something to do with BPH. Along side hormonal changes other possible causes are nutritional deficiency, stress and illness.
If the prostate gland enlarges, it compresses the urethra and the urinary bladder therefore interfering with normal urination. This explains the following cluster of symptoms; Increased frequency to urinate, difficulty in starting urination, a weak stream of urine (a stream that starts and stops), dribbling at the end of the urine and inability to completely empty the bladder.
If you are a man and reading this, please recall the statistics I put in the beginning. Think about the other 50% (of men between the ages of 51 - 60 years) and the remaining 10% (of men above the age of 80%) who won't have enlarged prostates. You could at this moment make a decision to gamble with your health and leave it all to chance or you can decide to pay attention to the information I'm about to give and secure your seat with the other 50% and the remaining 10%.
Zinc is mineral that's found in large concentration in the prostate gland, suggesting it is important for prostate health. Experts believe having zinc deficiency will not only increase the chances for a man to have an enlarged prostate and other prostate conditions but also it makes a man susceptible to prostate cancer.
Even though having an enlarged prostate is considered a normal process of aging, it doesn't have to be your process of aging. Remember that good health hinges on proper nutrition. You do have a chance, take hold of it.

OBESITY and ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION.

Obese men are 4 times more likely to experience erectile dysfunction than men with normal weight. Here's why. 1. Obesity predisposes you to a condition called Atherosclerosis - cholesterol gets deposited in the walls of the blood vessels impeding blood flow from the heart to other organs including the penis. 2. Obesity leads to lower levels of Testosterone Hormone, a hormone vital for sexual function because it increases the availability of Nitric Oxide, a molecule which dilates blood vessels in the penile tissue allowing blood to rush in. Lower levels of testosterone affects the ability to achieve and maintain an erection. Obesity will demand you to pay a debt with interests very high, it will cost you everything including your health and life. TAKE BACK YOUR HEALTH: Don't Be A Statistic.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide, 1 in 6 deaths globally is due to cancer. One third of deaths from cancer are due to the following five leading BEHAVIORAL and DIETARY risks. 1. High body mass index (meaning OBESITY) 2. Low fruit and Vegetable intake 3. Lack of physical activity 4.Tobacco use 5. Alcohol consumption These five are not only accountable for the one third of deaths due to cancer, but are also the ROOT CAUSE OF CANCER. To ensure survival and existence of the human race, the human body was designed to reproduce cells as a response to a command given from the control center of the body responsible for reproducing cells (i.e a genetic code present inside the DNA) This genetic code can be influenced negatively by external factors including the above mentioned behavioral and dietary risks to reproduce cells uncontrollably, destroy body tissue, migrate to other parts and do the same damage. This process is what we call CANCER. The r...
